Clifford the Big Red Dog Sequel in Development at Paramount Pictures

Nearly two weeks after Clifford the Big Red Dog‘s simultaneous theatrical and Paramount+ debut, Deadline brings word that Paramount Pictures is already developing a follow-up sequel to the live-action/CG-hybrid film. Further details about whether or not the Clifford the Big Red Dog sequel will retain the first film’s cast and creative team are still being kept under wraps. It’s also unclear if the project is being developed for a theatrical release or a Paramount+ release.

Since its debut last November 10, the family comedy currently sits at a domestic gross of over $30 million. It has also become the streamer’s most-watched original film to date. The film is still slated for an international rollout for the next two months as it is set to arrive in France, Germany, Italy, Russia, Spain, Brazil, Mexico, Korea, and Australia in December, and in Japan in late January.
