Gods Unknown: Keke Palmer in Talks to Lead Action Thriller Movie

According to Deadline, Nope star Keke Palmer has entered negotiations to play the leading role in a brand new action thriller movie titled Gods Unknown.

Should Palmer’s deal pushes through, she is expected to portray the character of CIA agent Kate Vance. The Akeelah and the Bee actress is currently in production for Aziz Ansari’s upcoming Lionsgate comedy Good Fortune, where she’ll star alongside Keanu Reeves and Cameron Diaz. Palmer will also next be seen in Amazon’s heist movie The Pickup and David O. Russell’s Super Toys movie

What is Gods Unknown about?

“The film is set in Central Africa, where a burgeoning political-religious movement, spearheaded by a warlord rumored to possess supernatural powers, is said to be gaining momentum,” reads the initial synopsis. “Doubtful of these assertions, the CIA dispatches an analyst, accompanied by a squad of elite special ops personnel, to delve into the truth behind the enigmatic leader and their followers.”

Gods Unknown will be directed by Stefano Sollima (Without Remorse, Sicario: Day of the Soldado) from a screenplay co-written by Andrew Barrer and Gabe Ferrari (No Exit, Transformers One). At the moment, the project doesn’t have a distributor or a release date attached to it yet.
