The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare Clip Goes Behind-The-Scenes With Henry Golding

An all-new The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare clip has been released, showing Henry Golding on the set of the upcoming period action comedy.

In the newly released clip, the Crazy Rich Asians actor — who plays Freddy Alvarez in Guy Ritchie’s forthcoming movie — shared all the fun that had transpired during filming, saying that “it’s the jokes, the teamwork,” and all the “pranks” that made his experience “special,” which he believes will “shine through” once The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare hits cinemas on April 19, 2024.

You can watch the new behind-the-scenes clip down below:

What is The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare about?

The action comedy, described as a true story about a secret special forces organization during World War II, will follow an “ungentlemanly” combat unit as they embark on an ambitious mission to fight the Nazis. The film is based on Damien Lewis’s novel The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare: How Churchill’s Secret Warriors Set Europe Ablaze and Gave Birth to Modern Black Ops.

Per the official synopsis, The Ministry of Ungentlemanly Warfare “tells the story of the first-ever special forces organization formed during WWII by UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill and a small group of military officials including author Ian Fleming. The top-secret combat unit, composed of a motley crew of rogues and mavericks, goes on a daring mission against the Nazis using entirely unconventional and utterly “ungentlemanly” fighting techniques. Ultimately their audacious approach changed the course of the war and laid the foundation for the British SAS and modern Black Ops warfare.”

Ritchie directed the movie from a script he co-wrote with Paul Tamasy, Eric Johnson, and Arash Amel. In addition to Golding, the star-studded cast includes Henry Cavill as Gus March-Phillipps, Eiza González as Marjorie Stewart, Alan Ritchson as Anders Lassen, Alex Pettyfer as Geoffrey Appleyard, and Hero Fiennes Tiffin as Henry Hayes.

Rounding out the cast are Babs Olusanmokun, Til Schweiger, Henry Zaga, Cary Elwes, and Freddie Fox.
