Mean Girls 4K & Blu-ray Release Date Set for Musical Remake

Following its Paramount+ release date last week, Paramount Home Entertainment has officially set the Mean Girls 4K, Blu-ray, and DVD release date for the musical remake of the classic teen comedy. During its theatrical run, the film earned a total gross of over $100 million at the worldwide box office.

When is the Mean Girls 4K, Blu-ray and DVD release date?

Mean Girls will be available for purchase on 4K UHD, Blu-ray, and DVD, starting on April 29, 2024, just in time for the original 2004 movie’s 20th anniversary. On the same day, Paramount Home Entertainment will also be releasing a limited 4K UHD and Blu-ray SteelBook edition of Lindsay Lohan-led Mean Girls movie for the first time ever.

Both Blu-ray releases will include never-before-seen bonus content, which are listed below:

Mean Girls (2024)

“New student Cady Heron is welcomed into the top of the social food chain by the elite group of popular girls called ‘The Plastics,’ ruled by the conniving queen bee Regina George and her minions Gretchen and Karen,” reads the synopsis. “However, when Cady makes the major misstep of falling for Regina’s ex-boyfriend Aaron Samuels, she finds herself prey in Regina’s crosshairs. As Cady sets to take down the group’s apex predator with the help of her outcast friends Janis and Damian, she must learn how to stay true to herself while navigating the most cutthroat jungle of all: high school.”

Mean Girls was directed by Arturo Perez and Samantha Jayne from a screenplay written by Fey, based on Fey’s Broadway musical adaptation of the 2004 movie. It starred Rapp, Angourie Rice, Auli’i Cravalho, Jaquel Spivey, Jenna Fischer, Busy Philipps, Avantika, Mahi Alam, Christopher Briney, Bebe Wood, Ashley Park, Connor Ratliff, and Jon Hamm.
