In celebration of the 35th anniversary of Killer Klowns from Outer Space, Scream Factory has announced that the cult classic horror comedy will finally be released on 4K Blu-ray for the first time. The 1988 movie will be available to purchase on 4K Ultra HD Blu-ray Disc and on Limited Edition 4K UHD Blu-ray Steelbook starting on May 14, 2024.

What is Killer Klowns from Outer Space?
“In the film, a spaceship looking like a circus tent lands in a field near a small town, signaling the attack of deviant, red-nosed, balloon-twisting psychos from another world who plan to annihilate mankind by turning people into cotton candy!” reads the synopsis. “Luckily, the town’s teen citizenry decides to fight back and teach the cosmic bozos a lesson. But these klowns are no klutzes, turning popcorn, peanuts and caramel corn into playful but deadly weapons of madcap destruction and mayhem!”
Killer Klowns From Space was directed by Stephen Chiodo from a screenplay he co-wrote with his brother Charles Chiodo. The film starred Grant Cramer, Suzanne Snyder, John Allen Nelson, Royal Dano and John Vernon.
