Thunderbolts Production Window for MCU Movie Revealed by Sebastian Stan

Marvel Cinematic Universe star Sebastian Stan has revealed when production is set to begin on the upcoming movie Thunderbolts.

In an interview with Variety, Stan discussed working with Marvel Studios and noted that he’ll be filming in “a month or so.” The actor also spoke about the company’s recent box office difficulties before praising the experience of working on Marvel movies.

“I’m excited. I’m going to go back basically in a month or so. I’ve missed it. It’s a great cast,” Stan stated. “The batting average is so high that it’s difficult to always land everything right away. It’s always been a great experience. With this one in particular, I think there’s a lot of good things.”

Who is directing Thunderbolts?

The film will be directed by Jake Schreier, whose history as a director isn’t extremely extensive, having only worked on 2012’s Robot & Frank, 2015’s Paper Towns, and the 2021 filmed version of Chance the Rapper’s Magnificent Coloring World Tour.

During the Marvel Studios’ panel at D23 2022, Marvel Studios president Kevin Feige unveiled the cast for the upcoming Thunderbolts movie, which will be a team consisting of mostly supervillains and antiheroes. It includes Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus), Red Guardian (David Harbour), Ghost (Hannah Jon-Kamen), US Agent (Wyatt Russell), Taskmaster (Olga Kerleynko), Yelena Belova/Black Widow (Florence Pugh), and The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan).
