Actor Zachary Levi wants to star in a live-action remake of Tangled.
Rumors have been circulating surrounding a possible Disney live-action remake of their 2010 animated princess movie Tangled. This film starred Mandy Moore as Rapunzel and Zachary Levi as Flynn Rider. With Disney’s latest stream of live-action remakes of animated classics, there have been reports that Disney is looking to cast Florence Pugh in the lead role of Rapunzel.
Levi, who starred in the original film and most recently appeared in Shazam! Fury of the Gods, stated, “There was this thing floating around the internet, I just saw it, somebody sent it to me, that Florence Pugh potentially might play the role of Rapunzel,” he said (via Movieweb). “And If Florence plays Rapunzel, what about me? Which would also be a trip because my real last name is Pugh, p-u-g-h, Zachary Levi Pugh, so you’d have [makes pew-pew noise] in Tangled. Come on!”
Is there a Tangled live-action remake?
There have only been rumors of a live-action Tangled remake. The film is not currently on the Disney release calendar.
