Logan Paul Walked Out of Oppenheimer: ‘Everyone’s Just Talking’

Although Oppenheimer may be one of the biggest films of the year, YouTuber and WWE star Logan Paul was not a fan of Christopher Nolan’s latest film.

Paul found that “nothing happened” in the film

During the latest episode of his podcast ImPaulsive, Paul revealed that he actually walked out of his showing of Oppenheimer to Talk to Me directors Danny and Michael Philippou.

“I walked out of Oppenheimer,” Paul said, as a shocked Philippous asked why. “I didn’t know what they were trying [to do]. ‘What are you doing?’ Everyone’s just talking. It’s just an hour and a half, 90 minutes, of talking, just talking, talking.”

Paul would go on to say that the film was just “all exposition,” and that “nothing happened in the film.”

While Paul may have not enjoyed the film, his view is certainly a rare one. After premiering in July, Oppenheimer has continued to garner critical acclaim and earned more than $700 million at the global box office.

What is Oppenheimer about?

“The IMAX-shot epic thriller thrusts audiences into the pulse-pounding paradox of the enigmatic man who must risk destroying the world in order to save it,” reads the logline.

Oppenheimer features a star-studded ensemble led by Cillian Murphy as J. Robert Oppenheimer, who’s known as the father of the Atomic Bomb. Joining him are Emily Blunt as Katherine Oppenheimer, Robert Downey Jr. as Lewis Strauss, Matt Damon as General Leslie Groves Jr., Florence Pugh as Jean Tatlock, Josh Hartnett as Ernest Lawrence, Benny Safdie as Edward Teller, and Michael Angarano as Robert Serber.

The film is written and directed by Christopher Nolan, based on the Pulitzer Prize-winning book “American Prometheus: The Triumph and Tragedy of J. Robert Oppenheimer,” by Kai Bird and the late Martin J. Sherwin. Additional cast includes Dane DeHaan, Jack Quaid, Dylan Arnold, David Krumholtz, Alden Ehrenreich, and Matthew Modine.

Oppenheimer is distributed theatrically worldwide by Universal Pictures. Nolan and Emma Thomas are producing through their Syncopy banner, along with Atlas Entertainment’s Charles Roven.
