Universal Pictures has announced the Asteroid City Blu-ray and DVD release date for Wes Anderson’ latest comedy-drama. This comes nearly a month after the film’s theatrical release on June 16.
When is Asteroid City Blu-ray and DVD release date?
Asteroid City will be available to rent or purchase on digital starting next week on August 11 from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. This will be followed by its home video release on Blu-ray and DVD on August 15.
Both digital and physical releases of the Wes Anderson movie film will feature bonus content. This includes featurettes with exclusive talent and filmmaker interviews that dive deeper into the film’s unique characters, story, and themes of community and curiosity.

What is Asteroid City about?
“It tells the story of a fictional American desert town circa 1955 and its Junior Stargazer convention, which brings together students and parents from across the country for scholarly competition, rest/recreation, comedy, drama, romance, and more,” reads the official synopsis.
Asteroid City was written and directed by Wes Anderson. The ensemble cast includes long-time Wes Anderson collaborators, Adrien Brody, Tilda Swinton, Bill Murray, Jason Schwartzman, Bryan Cranston, Jeffrey Wright, Liev Schreiber, Tony Revolori, Jeff Goldblum, and Jack Ryan. Joining them are Tom Hanks, Margot Robbie, Scarlett Johansson, Hong Chau, Maya Hawke, Sophia Lillis, and more. The project is produced by Jeremy Dawson and Steven Rales.
