Paranormal Activity 5 Gets a New Title, Shuffles Release Dates with Scouts vs. Zombies

Paramount Pictures and Blumhouse Productions have announced today that the upcoming Paranormal Activity 5 now has a new title – Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension. In addition, the film has been pushed from its October 24, 2014 release date to March 13, 2015, previously occupied by another upcoming Paramount release, Scouts vs. Zombies, which will now hit theaters on February 20, 2015.

Gregory Plotkin will direct “The Ghost Dimension” from a script by Project Almanac‘s Jason Pagan and Andrew Stark. It is said to focus on an all new family that once again has two young daughters, but with a title like “Ghost Dimension,” could we be seeing more of those “Forbidden Doors” from this year’s Paranormal Activity: The Marked Ones?

Scouts vs. Zombies, on the other hand, is directed by Christopher Landon from a script by Lona Williams, Etan Cohen, Emi Mochizuki, and Carrie Evans. It features Tye Sheridan, Logan Miller, and newcomer Joey Morgan as three scouts who, on the eve of their last camp out, discover the true meaning of friendship when they attempt to save their town from a zombie outbreak.
