Greendale was officially saved late last month when it was revealed that Dan Harmon’s cult hit “Community” had been picked up for a sixth season on Yahoo Screen. Because of the show’s fan-championed mantra of doing “six seasons and a movie,” however, questions have already been raised about if and when “Community” might make a move to the big screen.
“People are already talking about,” star Joel McHale today tells The Hollywood Reporter, going on to say that, while work on a script hasn’t started yet, the plan is to make a feature film “epic” and something very different from an episode.
“Community” is a Krasnoff-Foster Entertainment and Harmonious Claptrap production, in association with Universal Television and Sony Pictures Television. Harmon serves as executive producer alongside Russ Krasnoff, Gary Foster and Chris Mckenna.
