TRON: Legacy star Garrett Hedlund has joined the cast of Unbroken, Angelina Jolie’s second film as a director. He’ll star opposite Jack O’Connell, Domhnall Gleeson and Finn Wittrock.
Unbroken tells the story of Olympic track star and war hero Louis Zamperini, who became a Japanese prisoner of war during WWII after surviving a plane crash.
Adapted from Laura Hillendbrand’s bestselling book by Joel and Ethan Coen, William Nicholson and Richard LaGravenese, Unbroken is set to start production in the fall with Jolie producing with Matthew Baer, Erwin Stoff and Clayton Townsend.
Unbroken will mark Hedlund’s second collaboration with the Coens. He stars in their upcoming Inside Llweyn Davis, which hits theaters December 6.
