Ellen Page is set to take the lead role in 20th Century Fox’s adaptation of Greg Rucka’s Queen & Country, says a story today at The Hollywood Reporter. Published by Oni Press, Queen & Country launched in 2011 with the following offical description:
Follow British intelligence operative Tara Chace and her fellow “Minders” across countries and continents as she thwarts terrorist plots and protects the interests of her queen and her country.
Page, who can be seen coming up in X-Men: Days of Future Past, will take on the Chace role.
Peter Chernin and Jenno Topping are producing with Ryan Condal having handled the most recent draft of the script. The project is not to be confused with Queen and Country, John Boorman’s planned followup to 1987’s Hope and Glory.
