This Friday, the “Scary Movie” franchise returns to theaters with director Malcolm Lee’s Scary Movie V, featuring a script by Lee and Scary Movie 3 & 4 director David Zucker (whose comedy oeuvre also includes Airplane! and The Naked Gun).
Featuring a cast that includes Ashley Tisdale, Simon Rex, Molly Shannon, Charlie Sheen, Lindsay Lohan, Snoop Dogg, Katt Williams, Terry Crews and many more, Scary Movie V spoofs recent films like Paranormal Activity, Black Swan, Inception, Mama, Sinister, Rise of the Planet of the Apes and even the just-released Evil Dead.
ComingSoon.net sat down with Tisdale, Rex and Shannon to discuss their respective roles in the long-running franchise (this film marks a second Scary Movie for Shannon and a third for Rex), Zucker’s 15 rules for comedy, and the challenge of not cracking up during takes.
