SBS K-Drama Connection Photos Tease Ji-Sung’s Confrontation With a Criminal

The upcoming SBS K-drama Connection released brand-new photos teasing lead Ji-Sung’s character. The series is all set to premiere on Friday, May 24, 2024, at 10 p.m. KST on the network. The central storyline revolves around ace detective Jang Jae-Kyung (Ji-Sung) of the narcotics team. He struggles with addiction after being forced into it. Through the death of his friend, he navigates their crooked relationship and corrupted connections. 

Connection boasts a star-studded cast, including the leads Ji-Sung and Jeon Mi-Do. The newly released photos document detective Jang Jae-Kyung confronting a criminal and risking his life. The exciting and intriguing storyline of the series has immediately drawn the attention of many viewers. Will the ace detective be able to discover the connections between him and his friend? Or will it open him to a slew of dark truths? Only time will tell. 

Connection K-drama photos show Ji-Sung’s transformation into an ace detective

On Thursday, May 2, 2024, SBS released new photos of its upcoming K-drama Connection, depicting Ji-Sung as Jang Jae-Kyung, an ace narcotics team detective at the Anhyeon Police Station. He has made a name for himself, earning respect from both his junior and senior colleagues. Meanwhile, he also struggles with drug addiction after someone forces him into it. Jae-Kyung eventually goes on to discover the connection between him and his late friend. 

The newly released photos showcase Jae-Kyung’s intense confrontation with a criminal. This marks the beginning of his struggle to find corrupt connections. The two stand opposite each other in the front yard of a rather old home, where Jae-Kyung threatens the criminal. In the next photo, the detective aims to snatch the gun from the criminal’s hand. In an intense situation, the two go against each other. But even after falling to the floor amidst this fight, Jae-Kyung remains steadfast and determined to catch the criminal. 

Viewers will have to wait and find out what this confrontation is about and what it will lead to. Furthermore, in the series, Jae-Kyung collaborates with social affairs reporter Oh Yoon-Jin (Jeon Mi-Do) for his mission. It will be interesting to see what results this teamwork will yield.
