Blood Free episode 7: Ju Ji-Hoon helps Han Hyo-Joo find the spy

The latest Blood Free episode picked up from bodyguard Woo Chae-Woon’s arrest and fellow bodyguard Kim Ho-Seung’s murder. Ja-Yoo asked Jung Hae-Dun to visit Ho-Seung’s family and offer them condolences. However, Hae-Dun informed Dorson CEO Seon Woo-Geun about the incident and discovered that the culprit, Park Sang-Min, escaped. She worried about her safety when Ja-Yoo would eventually discover that she was the spy who betrayed BF Group.

Woo-Geun asked her to deny all allegations if she was caught, as there won’t be proof of her involvement. Meanwhile, Sang-Min burnt his car, causing an explosion in an empty factory, and fled with his belongings. He disguised himself and successfully escaped Woo-Geun’s men. The latter then assigned the responsibility of catching Sang-Min to his son and Prime Minister Seon Woo-Jae. After receiving the camera footage from the Superintendent of Police, Woo-Jae discovered Chae-Woon’s superhuman-like strength while the latter fought with the police. Woo-Jae realized Ja-Yoo was successful in her experiment.

Later, Ja-Yoo met with Chae-Woon at the police station and informed him that she had cleared him of the murder charges. Upon enquiring about Chae-Woon fighting the police, the bodyguard described a burning sensation in his arm that caused the policeman to spring. Ja-Yoo suggested they take a test upon his return, but Chae-Woon insisted on finding the culprit. Before leaving, Chae-Woon whispered something in her ear.

Ja-Yoo met with the police officers and apologized for Chae-Woon’s behavior. She wore her glasses which enabled On San at BF Group to identify details about killer Sang-Min, including his face. While they initially suspected Seo Hui, seeing the latter break down over the poor construction of censor suits that failed to protect Ho-Seung, they decided Seo-Hui wasn’t involved. On San further informed her of Sang-Min causing an explosion at a repair shop and destroying his car. Ja-Yoo asked the police to quickly investigate.

Meanwhile, the police released Chae-Woon. He asked Ja-Yoo if she was the one who had him out. However, she declined. Several men then took him to Woo-Jae’s house, where the latter enquired about Chae-Woon’s superhuman strength. However, Chae-Woon suspected Woo-Jae of planning the bomb blast at Azoran. He revealed how terrorist Kir’s family was living well abroad after getting a special immigrant visa, which was difficult back then.

Chae-Woon noted how Woo-Jae was suspicious of events surrounding the incident. The bodyguard asked if Woo-Jae planned the Azoran bomb blast that would kill his grandfather and former President Lee Mun-Gyu. Woo-Jae grew frustrated and kept insisting on finding out more about Chae-Woon’s strength. The two fought after Chae-Woon punched Woo-Jae in his nose, causing him to bleed. Later, Ja-Yoo arrived at the house.

As Chae-Woon waited for Ja-Yoo outside, she had a lengthy conversation with Woo-Jae. The latter asked her to experiment on him, making him a dominant species. However, Ja-Yoo insisted she was making her facility of being able to afford human organs to people all over the world and not just create a mutation. When Woo-Jae asked her to hold on to him before he challenged her, Ja-Yoo left, discovering his true colors.

On their way back, Ja-Yoo told Chae-Woon that Jung Hae-Dun was the spy. Ho-Seung asked Hae-Dun about Ja-Yoo’s usual schedule. She found out that they were looking for Shin-Gu’s killer, and she lured Chae-Woon and Ho-Seung into coming to the welfare center. To catch Hae-Dun red-handed, On San told her the suspect had been caught, giving her a fake location. When she tried to relay that message to Won-Geun, the team caught her.

As advised by Won-Geun, Hae-Dun kept denying her involvement with the Darson CEO. Eventually, Chae-Woon confronted Hae-Dun about the possibility of Woo-Jae promising her immortality. He further noted that she put him on the interview list so that he would become Ja-Yoo’s bodyguard, as per Won-Geun’s wishes. Chae-Woon revealed that Seon-Jae didn’t send him to find out if Ja-Yoo was responsible for the Azoran bomb blast. Instead, they used Shin-Gu to find out the secret behind the company.

Chae-Woon tried to get the truth out of Hae-Dun. He asked who was behind Ho-Seung’s murder and if she was siding with Won-Geun and Woo-Jae since the Azoran terror attack. The episode ended with Ja-Yoo asking Chae-Woon to stop.
