Wonderful World Episode 11 Recap & Spoilers: Did Cha Eun-Woo Regret Seeking Revenge on Kim Nam-Joo?

Wonderful World episode 11 aired on Friday, April 5, 2024, on MBC and Disney Plus. Starring Cha Eun-Woo as Kwon Seon-Yul and Kim Nam-Joo as Eun Soo-Hyun, the K-drama tells the story of two people entangled in a cycle of revenge.

Seon-Yul’s mother passed away in the previous episode. She was in a coma for several months after a road accident. The ending showed Soo-Hyun arriving at the funeral, leaving Seon-Yul confused.

In episode 11, Seon-Yul struggles to accept Soo-Hyun’s kindness and seems to regret hurting her. Although she confesses to hating him in the beginning, she cannot ignore the pain he has undergone because of her. For context, Seon-Yul’s father killed Soo-Hyun’s toddler son in a hit-and-run accident. Due to political leader Kim Joon’s influence, his father was set free on probation. Hence, Soo-Hyun took revenge by running over him with her car. Years later, his son, Seon-Yul, laid out a revenge plan and ruined Soo-Hyun’s relationship with her husband.

Wonderful World episode 11 spoilers: Cha Eun-Woo finds recording of Kim Nam-Joo & his father’s last encounter

Wonderful World episode 11 begins with Seon-Yul at his mother’s funeral, listening to a recording on her phone. It includes the last encounter between his father and Soo-Hyun before she hit him with her car.

As soon as he finishes listening, his friend informs him that Soo-Hyun has arrived to pay her respects. Surprised, Seon-Yul wants to know why she has come and also the truth about his mother’s accident. Seeing him in agony, Soo-Hyun requests him to take time to mourn his mother.

The next day, Kim Joon attends the burial ceremony of Seon-Yul’s mother. While leaving, he comforts the young man and asks him to treat him like a family. Seon-Yul looks intense and says he wants to examine his mother’s accident case. Kim Joon seems nervous and confirms if she has said anything before dying. After Seon-Yul refuses, Kim Joon gets into his car and expresses his frustration over Seon-Yul’s curiosity.

At home, Seon-Yul feels lonely and depressed and continues to listen to his father and Soo-Hyun’s conversation. He struggles to let go of his feelings of hating her and seemingly regrets punishing her. On the other hand, Soo-Hyun decides to take care of Seon-Yul and brings dinner for him. When he asks about his mother’s accident, she says, “You have to pull yourself together first.”

Meanwhile, Soo-Hyun also spends quality time with her mother and reveals the truth about Seon-Yul. She requests her daughter not to endure the pain alone.

Wonderful World episode 11 ending: Kim Nam-Joo asks a shocking question

In Wonderful World episode 11, Soo-Hyun gets a call from Seon-Yul one night. He lets her listen to the recording and then tells her he cannot forgive her. Seon-Yul further mentions that she must have felt the same way when she found out about him. He claims that he turned a blind eye to Soo-Hyun’s pain to survive.

After that call, Soo-Hyun digs deeper into Seon-Yul’s mother’s accident case. She contacts attorneys and reporters to verify the facts. Meanwhile, Seon-Yul suspects Kim Joon has let his men search his apartment. He calls Soo-Hyun and asks her for help finding out about his mother.

The next day, she gives him a big envelope of documents proving that someone intentionally hit his mother on the road. When he asks about the culprit, she replies, “You know who it is. Kim Joon.” Then, she asks, “Why do you work for him when you know everything?” The final scene features a couple of flashbacks showing Seon-Yul being aware of Kim Joon’s crimes.
