Love Song for Illusion Episode 14 trailer: Park Ji-Hoon’s Ak-Hee plans to give up the throne to Hwang Hee

Love Song for Illusion Episode 14 trailer begins with Park Ji-Hoon’s Ak-Hee narrating his painful experience of losing Yeon Wol/Kyera. For context, King Sajo Hyeong and his alter personality are in love with her, but she loves the king. Previously, Ak-Hee sacrificed his feelings so that she could happily live with Sajo Hyeong.

The change of heart happened because Ak-Hee previously got stabbed and was suffering in Sajo Hyeong’s subconscious world. Now, he has returned and realized that he cannot give up on Kyera. The trailer further shows Ak-Hee attacking shaman Cheong-Ta for stabbing him. The next scene shows Hwang Hee’s Sajo Yung saying, “The day you allow the passing of the crown, Cheong-Ta will perform geuminsal on Sajo Hyeong.”

It appears Ak-Hee will go through the shaman’s ritual to get rid of Sajo Hyeong for good and give up his throne to the enemy. The trailer ends with the return of Sajo Hyeong, who still has no memory. However, he realizes his love for Hong Ye-Ji’s character, and the two share a kiss.

Love Song for Illusion Episode 13 recap: Did Sajo Hyeong remember Yeon Wol?

Love Song for Illusion Episode 13 begins with Hong Ye-Ji’s Yeon Wol happily greeting King Sajo Hyeong. The latter was paralyzed in the previous episode, but Yeon Wol made a deal with Prince Hwang Ga-Ron and found an antidote.

In episode 13, she is relieved that Sajo Hyeong has recovered but soon becomes heartbroken. She learns that he has lost his memory and doesn’t remember their relationship. Initially, she wants him to recall their love but gives up when she remembers her deal with Ga-Ron. In exchange for an antidote, she promised to marry him.

Meanwhile, Sajo Hyeong has glimpses of some of his moments with Yeon Wol. He realizes that she is someone important to him. Things get complicated as Queen Geum-Hwa and Prince Tajo Yung exploit the king’s memory loss. They pretend to be his allies and make him think they are his well-wishers.

Sajo Yung doesn’t want King Sajo Hyeong’s memory to come back. He asks shaman Cheong Ta to find a permanent solution through which he can get rid of the king and his lover Yeon Wol. On the other hand, Geum-Hwa becomes pregnant with Jin-Seo’s child but pretends that it belongs to Sajo Hyeong.

Amid all the chaos, Park Ji-Hoon’s character realizes that he may not recognize Yeon Wol, but his heart races whenever she is near him. Towards the end, she quietly leaves to fulfill her promise to Ga-Ron. But she tries to negotiate and denies marrying him as Sajo Hyeong hasn’t fully recovered. At the right time, the king rescues her and takes her away from Ga-Ron.

The episode ends with Sajo Hyeong holding Yeon-Wol as he summons Ak-Hee. The latter arrives and says, “I missed you, Kyera.”

Love Song for Illusion airs twice a week on KBS and Viki.
