Episode 4 of the ongoing K-drama Between Him and Her aired on Channel A on Tuesday, January 16, 2024. The episode is also available for streaming on Viki. In the series, Lee Seol plays the female lead, Han Sung-Ok, and Lee Dong-Hae portrays the male lead, Jung Hyun-Sung. Between Him and Her Episode 4: What happens to Lee Seol & Lee Dong-Hae?
Between Him and Her episode 4, starts right where the preceding episode 3 ends. Lee Seol’s character Han Sung-Ok tries to tell Lee Dong-Hae’s character Jung Hyun-Sung what happened the night they saw each other in the motel. However, Hyun-Sung starts feeling uneasy at that moment and stops Sung-Ok from revealing the truth about that night. Instead, he goes on to disclose that he cheated on Sung-Ok by spending that night with another woman at the motel.
However, from his body language, it is unclear whether Hyun-Sung is telling the truth or trying to avoid what Sung-Ok has to say about the night. It seems like it can be a defense mechanism from Hyun-Sung’s side to prevent his very own heartbreak. After hearing Hyun-Sung’s words, Sung-Ok hurriedly leaves the place and completely breaks down outside.
Meanwhile, Hyun-Sung is hurting very much as he has parted ways with Sung-Ok. The two have also started living in separate houses. Later on, Between Him and Her episode 4 shows that Sung-Ok has switched her job from her previous company to a new one, where she will be working as a designer. One of her juniors at her high school has offered her this new job position. The junior has an unrequited love for Sung-Ok.
Towards the end of episode 4 of Between Him and Her, one of Hyun-Sung’s close friends, Kim Hyung-Sub (Kim Hyun-Mok), contacts Sung-Ok. It looks like he also has romantic feelings for her. He asks Sung-Ok to meet at a restaurant and the two end up meeting there. However, later on, the junior from Sung-Ok’s high school, who has offered her the new job, also joins the two. The three of them then go on to have some chicken and drinks together.
In the meantime, Hyun-Sung calls Kim Hyung-Sub, and he hears Sung-Ok’s voice in the background. He soon realizes that Kim Hyung-Sub also likes Sung-Ok. He then rushes to confront him at the restaurant. However, by the time he reaches the place, the three of them have already left.
Hyun-Sung then frantically tries to call Sung-Ok but she does not receive his calls. Between Him and Her episode 4 ends with a scene where a man and a woman are sharing an intimate moment. They are spending the night together. A phone rings beside their bed, denoting that it can be a call from Hyun-Sung to Sung-Ok. However, the episode does not reveal who the man and woman are.
