Following Hanuman’s massive success, Prasanth Varma is set to expand his cinematic universe of mythology-based superhero movies. The director has titled it Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe (PVCU) and promised that more films will follow suit. Determined to bring stars from different industries, Ranveer Singh is the latest name that has been making rounds. The latest report claims that the movie’s title has already been locked.
According to Pinkvilla, a source close to the alleged development has claimed that the Bollywood star is in awe of the director’s vision. The movie has been allegedly titled Rakshas, and the actor will soon begin his journey for the film. The source said, “It’s a part of the Prasanth Varma Cinematic Universe, where the director introduces several characters before bringing them all together in the finale. Ranveer is blown away by the vision and long-term plans that his director has for the universe and is excited to embark on the journey of Rakshas soon.”
As per the insider, the movie’s inauguration ceremony has already been held. “Ranveer has met Prasanth Varma and the team multiple times over the last few weeks and has already done a Pooja for the film on the occasion of Hanuman Jayanti in Hyderabad.”

The report further claimed Rakshas is a period movie with Ranveer Singh playing a role with negative shades. It is allegedly based in the pre-independence era with mythological touches, like other PVCU movies. As the alleged title suggests, it is said to revolve around the antagonist characters in Hindu mythology.
For the unversed, Prasanth Varma is currently working on Jai Hanuman. He has confirmed that the work on four movies in Phase 1 of PVCU is simultaneously done. He also confirmed that different directors will helm the movies. For his films, Prasanth Varma is eyeing to cast actors from other industries. More updates on the upcoming movie are awaited.
