The teaser release of Pushpa 2 featuring Allu Arjun has garnered much excitement from the fans, more so after Shreyas Talpade has been reported to reprise his role of voicing Arjun’s character. Recently, Mythri Movie Makers released a teaser that received a favorable response from the audience. The teaser, titled Pushpa 2 The Rule, has amassed over 87 million views on YouTube so far and is currently trending at number 1.
In the teaser, Allu Arjun is seen in a menacing look. Moreover, he is dressed in a blue silk saree adorned with a golden belt around his waist. The character has also painted his face in red and blue shades and wears a white garland around his neck. This unique appearance reflects Arjun’s character’s participation in the Gangamma Thalli Jathara, a local festival in Tirupati.
According to Newsmeter, the Gangamma Thalli Jathara festival falls between May 9 and May 17. It is celebrated to honor Gangamma’s courageous act of slaying Palegondulu, who assaulted women in the region. As such, dressing up as a woman during this festival is a tribute to the goddess and womanhood in general.
Pushpa 2 adds Shreyas Talpade to the Hindi dub cast
As the teaser for Pushpa 2 is out, fans are curious about who will dub Allu Arjun’s character in Hindi. Times of India has confirmed that Shreyas Talpade will again lend his voice to Allu Arjun’s role. A senior official from Mythri Movie confirmed to the outlet, “It will be Shreyas Talpade who will be Allu Arjun’s voice in the film.”
Notably, Shreyas Talpade’s voiceover for the first movie elevated Allu Arjun’s character to new heights. During an interview with Times of India at the release of Pushpa: The Rise, Talpade mentioned, “I would like to give full credit to Allu Arjun ji for a phenomenal performance which made my job easier. It is every actor’s dream to play a part like this and say lines like that.”
With this confirmation, fans eagerly await the release of the film in different languages and which actors will be voicing the other characters. Presently, Pushpa 2 is scheduled for release on August 15, 2024.
