After his debut in The Archies, Vedang Raina is gearing up for his next project with Alia Bhatt. This upcoming movie Jigra has been directed by Vasan Bala and written by Debashish Irengbam.
Moreover, Alia Bhatt announced Jigra in September 2023. Interestingly, she will be co-producing the movie, alongside Karan Johar, under Eternal Sunshine Productions and Dharma Productions. As per reports, Vedang Raina and Alia Bhatt are rumored to play siblings in Jigra. The makers have scheduled the movie for release on September 27, 2024.

Vedang Raina will play Alia Bhatt’s sibling in Jigra movie
During a recent interview, Vedang Raina addressed these rumors by saying, “Everyone keeps asking me this, but I am not sure what it is about.” When asked about the rumors of him playing Alia Bhatt’s sibling in the movie, he said, “It sounds very exciting to be a part of a project like that. There will always be rumors floating around.”
While the actor did not confirm the news, he expressed his excitement for the role. He said, “Sounds like a very interesting opportunity.” He further talked about what type of a sibling he would be and said, “Depends on the role, depends on the project, and what the script demands. Depends on what kind of film it is.”
In 2023, reports indicated that Vedang Raina would be joining Alia Bhatt for the movie. A source revealed, “Vedang will be making his acting debut in the digital world with the Zoya Akhtar-directed The Archies alongside Suhana Khan, Khushi Kapoor, and Agastya Nanda. The Vasan Bala film will mark his first foray into the world of theatrical business. Karan and Vasan were impressed with his performance in the rushes of The Archies and believe that he fits the bill.”
