The latest Tamil film Jigarthanda DoubleX recently ruled the theaters. The movie that starred Raghava Lawrence and SJ Suryah hit the theatres on November 10, 2023, and received applause from the audience. The film also came out to be a box-office success and entertained the masses thoroughly. Surprisingly, Hollywood star Clint Eastwood has promised the makers that he would watch the film.
Jigarthanda DoubleX pays tribute to the entire film industry. The film’s plot revolves around how a filmmaker and a gangster team up to make Western cinema. An X (formerly Twitter) user requested Clint Eastwood to watch the movie and the Hollywood star’s team replied. The user wrote, “Dear @RealTheClint We are Indians We made a Tamil movie called Jigarthanda Double X. Its available in Netflix. We have given u a great tribute in the whole movie. We made some animated scenes like u in ur young age. Please watch it once u get some time.”
In his reply, Clint Eastwood’s team mentioned that the actor had been made aware of the movie. However, he will find time to watch it after he is done completing his new film Juror 2. His team wrote, “Hi. Clint is aware of this Movie and he states he will get to it upon Completion of his New Film. Juror 2. Thank You.”

Kartik Subbaraj, who has penned and directed Jigarthanda DoubleX, reacted to the tweet. The director was elated to learn that the Hollywood legend was aware of his work. He wrote, “Wowww….. Feeling So Surreal!! The Legend Clint Eastwood is AWARE of Jigarthanda DoubleX & gonna watch it soon… This film is my heartfelt dedication to @RealTheClint on behalf of Millions of his Fans in India… Can’t wait to hear what he thinks of the film once he does….”
