The ongoing success of Animal has led the audience to praise Bobby Deol‘s performance as the antagonist in the film. The actor is now exploring the possibility of Soldier 2. In a recent interview with Pinkvilla, Bobby Deol talked about his experience working in Ranbir Kapoor’s latest action-drama film. Here, he further discussed the prospects of a sequel to his 1998 blockbuster, Soldier.
Directed and written by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, Animal released in theatres on December 1, 2023. T-Series, Bhadrakali Pictures, and Cine1 Studios produced the film. The film stars Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor, and Bobby Deol.

Bobby Deol on Soldier 2
The appreciation Bobby Deol has been receiving for portraying the antagonist in Animal has even crossed his own expectations. Fans have been pouring out their love for the actor, even hailing him as ‘Lord Bobby’ now.
In terms of Bobby Deol’s filmography, Soldier (1998) has been one of the most successful blockbusters by the actor. During the interview, he was asked about discussions regarding the creation of a sequel for the cult classic. He said (originally in Hindi), “It’s been a long time! Maybe after Animal, Ramesh Ji, Tips owner, will think of making [Soldier] part two with me.” Ramesh S. Taurani, along with Kumar S. Taurani, is the co-founder of Tips Industries that produced the 1998 film.
Soldier was an action thriller directed by Abbas–Mustan. It starred Raakhee, Bobby Deol, Preity Zinta in lead roles. After its release, the film was declared as a superhit by Box Office India, becoming the second highest-grossing film of the year in India after Shah Rukh Khan’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai.
In Animal, Bobby Deol showcased an intense look. He played the role of a villain named Abrar Haque in the film. The actor did not have a single dialog as he was a mute person in the movie, but he still gave an excellent performance.
In his extensive acting career, the actor has been part of many projects. Now, he’s all set to work on more hit films. After working with Sandeep Reddy Vanga in Animal, he is reportedly working on many Telugu and Tamil language movies. These include Kanguva, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, and NBK109.
