I Am a Ghost Offers An Alternative to Haunter

i-am-a-ghostSo, a film slipped through the publicity cracks and landed on VOD/DVD with very little awareness. It's called I Am a Ghost from Gravitas Ventures. I haven't seen it, but I'm definitely going to give it a spin. It looks like a interesting alternative to the "I'm haunting my own home" scenario we've seen at the core of The Others and, most recently, Haunter?. Here's the lowdown with the trailer…

Emily (Anna Ishida), a troubled spirit, haunts her own house every day, wondering why she can't leave. With the help of Sylvia (Jeannie Barroga), a clairvoyant hired to rid the house of spirits, Emily is forced into a 'patient/therapist' relationship, uncovering disturbing mysteries about her past that may help her move on to 'the next place'. Winner of 4 Best Film awards and placed in over a dozen Top Ten lists, I Am a Ghost is the second narrative feature from H. P. Mendoza (writer of Colma: the Musical and director of Fruit Fly).
