An invasion is coming to Philadelphia… Writer Brad Peyton, the scribe behind Journey 2: The Mysterious Island, has sold a pitch that sounds – essentially – like Red Dawn. Ah, but there’s a supernatural twist here, of course, and it’s Cloverfield-esque in nature, says Variety.
The proposed project is called Invasion and it tells of a group of Philadelphia students who are forced to become soldiers when their city is attacked by a supernatural force. Reel FX bought the pitch.
Peyton previous tackled Cats and Dogs 2 and is locked to helm a third Journey film.
