New Writer Brought Aboard Piranha 3DD

Here’s one reason it was pushed back

Moviehole reports Joel Soisson has been called upon by Dimension Films to tackle another draft of Piranha 3DD, the big screen sequel which was recently pushed to a November 23 release date.

Soisson will also co-produce.

He’ll be tinkering with a script already penned by Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton. John Gulager is directing.

So, why Soisson? Moviehole says the man’s got a knowledge of 3D.

Dimension also knows Soisson can pull in a movie on the cheap, since he has done it in the past for the company. Soisson cranked out those awful Pulse sequels and recently wrapped the new Children of the Corn: Genesis.
