You have your grain and quality
When I spoke to James Cameron last month about the Avatar re-release, a bit of concern was raised when the director revealed that he personally supervised the Blu-Ray transfer of Aliens and voiced his plans for that (watch the video interview here). Fans immediately took to the message boards, squawking about how Cameron might de-grain to the picture, similar to the transfer we saw on Fox’s recent Predator release.
