SDCC ’10: Adam Gierasch Talks Night of the Demons

Updated with a look at the DVD cover

Adam Gierasch, the director of the upcoming horror flick Night of the Demons (set report), isn’t shy about professing his excitement for the film.

Night of the Demons is my big titted chicks being chased by demons on Halloween flick that I’ve been dying to make since I was 17-years-old. It is the bad-ass Halloweeen horror that is a throwback to old school demon movies of the past.”

Gierasch says that his version of Night of the Demons won’t be nearly as campy as the original but it is a lot of fun mixed with brutal deaths, blood, gore and more.

When asked about whether it will keep to the original scenes of the first movie, Gierasch says his version borrows heavily from some of the better moments in the horror film but makes them better. As an example he states the original horror sequence with Linnea Quigley, where she inserts lipstick into her breast is coming back, but he says he takes it to a whole new level.

Plus, there’s this, in three simple words: Demon anal rape. Sounds like a fun Friday night.

“Boobs, babes, blood, bad guys and plenty of gore, this one has it all,” Gierasch says.

The DVD/blu-ray release date is Oct. 19, 2010 from E1 Entertainment and the film will be planning in some theaters. It is premiering at Screamfest in L.A. and will be shown on October 15 in New York.

“And yes we are having 35 f**king mm prints, how movies should really be fucking shown,” Gierasch says.
