Taking role rumored for Ashley Greene
When last week’s update on the cast of Scream 4 came about, we reached out to our reps at the Weinstein Company who told us there were many rumors about the new cast members, but nothing was confirmed as of yet.
Today yields our first newcomer: Emma Roberts of Hotel for Dogs. We can confirm she will definitely be starring alongside Courteney Cox, David Arquette, and Neve Campbell. Roberts will play “Jill,” Neve Campbell’s cousin. The trades reported last week that Ashley Greene was in talks to fill that role. Guess that didn’t happen.
Craven says in a press release: “I’m absolutely delighted that Emma will be joining the cast of Scream 4. Her talent, beauty and range will add immensely to the sophistication, intensity and fun of the Scream franchise as it returns to the screen once more.”
Shooting begins at the end of next month in Michigan.
