Bell Heats Things Up in Highway

Saw villain inspires hard rockin’

Someday I’d love to create a coffee table book that looks back on every actor who has ever played the devil. Of course, that book would need to be revised every few years to keep up with cinema’s constant fixation with the big red guy down below.

The “Saw” trilogy’s Tobin Bell (that’s Jigsaw to you) is the latest thespian to play Satan. He’s set to star in Highway 61, the story of a struggling rock band who meet the Devil at Mississippi’s infamous Crossroads. Nick Thune (Knocked Up) stars as the band’s lead singer.

No clue if this film even relates to horror…but it’s worth a mention here. Principal photography will stretch from Los Angeles to Utah and Idaho.

Bell recently completed work on Saw IV and Ghost House Pictures’ Boogeyman 2.
