Recent posts and Beyond the Gates cast members’ social media activity have led fans to believe that Colin Egglesfield might be joining the show. He’s popularly known for playing Josh Madden in All My Children. If the speculation turns out to be true, then he would be another exciting addition after the show brought on several familiar daytime faces in recent times.
Has Colin Egglesfield been cast on Beyond the Gates?
Neither the Beyond the Gates team nor Egglesfield has officially confirmed his casting. However, the actor’s social media dropped a few clues, which many believe hint at him joining the cast.
Closer Weekly reported that Egglesfield took to Instagram to share a picture from a dressing room. He captioned it, “Can’t say what I’m working on but you’ll find out soon-ish.” However, the post now no longer exists and appears to have been deleted.
Shortly after, he took to Instagram Stories to post another image of him lying on a blue couch. What caught many people’s attention was that the couch looked similar to those spotted in Beyond the Gates’ Atlanta studio.
Additionally, fans also noticed his followers and following list on Instagram, which gave out further clues. Several BTG cast members follow Egglesfield, including Jen Jacob (Ashley), Angela Fairley (Deanna) and Maurice P. Kerry (Randy).
On the other hand, he also follows Daphnée Duplaix (Nicole) and Karla Mosley (Dani). Taken together, these social media hints have made fans think that Egglesfield might have already joined the cast and is currently keeping things under wraps until the show’s team makes an official announcement.
If this rumor turns out to be true, this will mark Egglesfield’s first daytime role in over 17 years. Apart from All My Children, his other major TV projects include The Client List, Rizzoli & Isles, Melrose Place, and others.
