General Hospital’s Adam Huss, who played Nikolas “Nick” Cassadine, recently addressed the rumors of his return to the show. He shared what he believes his character should do if he were to return to the show.
Here are the details on what he said.
Adam Huss says Nick Cassadine could ‘make his way back’ to General Hospital
Although for a brief period, Adam Huss portrayed Nikolas “Nick” Cassadine on General Hospital between 2021 and 2024. The character has since been off-screen, serving a prison sentence in Flatland Federal Prison after kidnapping and locking Esme in Wyndemere in a 2024 storyline.
Now, after his name came up several times in recent episodes, there have been rumors about the character’s potential return. However, there have been no official announcements. In a recent interview with Soaps.com, Huss addressed the speculations, saying that he is keeping an “open mind” about it.
Talking about what his character could do upon returning, he said, “There’s a lot of unfinished business with Ava, obviously. I would love to explore that and what’s there. I think there’s a lot with my mother, Laura, that I think needs to be set right.”
The Sleeping with the President actor said it would be “smart” to keep Nikolas off-screen longer so that he can reflect on his crimes.
Huss continued to wonder how the character could be removed from that situation so he could return “reformed.” He went on to explain that it would be a wonderful challenge to portray a character who is figuring out how to fight for everything he believes in with a new moral compass without repeating the same mistakes.
The 48-year-old concluded, saying, “It’s something that I try not to think about daily, but he [Nikolas] is always right here in my heart. I’d love to step back in whenever the timing is right.”
