Fans believe that Ryan Paevey’s Cassius Faison is more entertaining than Steve Burton’s Jason. Recently, Cassius suffered a brutal fate at the hands of Cullum, which could mark the end of his run on the show. However, fans don’t want his story to end. Meanwhile, Burton, who was on a break, will return to screens on July 13.
General Hospital fans aren’t happy that Cassius is leaving ahead of Jason’s return
General Hospital fans took to social media to debate which character they find more interesting, Jason or Cassius Faison. However, many viewers expressed their appreciation for Paevey’s character, saying his storyline has been especially engaging. Some also said that Cassius’s story kept them so invested that they did not even miss Jason.
A fan said, “Miss Jason..but I came to really like Cassius..he wasn’t as bad as we thought he was going to be.” Another added, “Yeah, Ryan has been amazing… I hope he stays.” A third commented, “I agree, I haven’t cared for Jason in awhile. Keep Cassius instead of Jason.” A fourth also wrote, “I wish they didn’t kill him; they could have redeemed him. Poor Lysle lost both of her boys.” The reactions came after Cullum shot Cassius in the chest in the latest episode, causing him to collapse. Although it appears the character may have died, neither Paevey nor the show has confirmed his departure.
Other fans also voiced their support for Jason, saying they have missed the character and are eager to see what comes next in his storyline following his hiatus. Earlier, during an appearance on the That’s Awesome podcast, Burton teased what fans can expect from Jason’s upcoming arc. “Been a lot going on. Had a lot of good scenes. And it’s good, man. We’re shifting directions a little bit, which is gonna be interesting for fans, so get ready…I think [the writers] did a really good job. It’s really giving me something to play, which is nice. It’s gonna be interesting. It’s shaking things up, which is gonna be a lot of fun,” he said.
