In the latest episode titled “Cut and Run,” Colonel Russell Wilkes offers a new position to Bailey in Washington, D.C. He is planning to bring a new group to the think tank at the Pentagon for progress in the medical field. Bailey is the first person asked by Russell, and she exclaims, “The fact that he called me first, that’s pretty great.” However, thinking about the relocation, Bailey’s husband Nolan says, “Our life is perfect right now. There’s no way we’re messing that up.”
Bailey also agrees with him, but continues to think about the job. Further, Nyla and Angela talk to Nolan as he calls the opportunity a non-starter. The ladies tell him, “It may be a non-starter for you, but I bet your over achiever of a wife is seriously thinking about it.” Moreover, Russell is eager to make Bailey take up the opportunity. Bailey asks him, “I’m not a doctor or a scientist with a Ph D. Why me?”
Russ motivates her, stating, “Having a few extra letters after your name doesn’t make you a genius.” He tells her that he trusts her to bring a solution to a problem anyway, and she should give up her cowardly thinking that she is not fit for the job. As such, Bailey decided to talk about the offer with Nolan at dinner. She wants to take up the offer with his support, and Nolan expresses, “We’re in this together.” However, Nolan grows skeptical about the plan as he continues thinking about it.
