Why There’s No New South Park Season 28 Episode This Week

Many fans are eager to know why there is no new episode of South Park Season 28 this week. After the show premiered on October 15, there have been only 5 episodes since. Now, fans are wondering when the next episode will drop or whether there is even a new episode.

Why South Park didn’t air a new episode this week on December 17

There is no South Park Season 28 Episode 6 because the season ended with just five episodes.

The Season 28 finale, “The Crap Out,” aired on December 10 and served as the winter finale. Currently, there is no information on when the next season will arrive, though the show is confirmed to return for more seasons.

While this may come as a disappointment to the long-time fans of the series, South Park 28, sadly, continues to have a short run. Over the last few years, each has gotten shorter. From Season 22, the series started featuring six episodes. However, it was further shortened to just five episodes since Season 27. And the latest season has followed the same episode count.

In the finale, a sad Stan tries to summon Mr. Hankey to cheer up this year’s Christmas festival. However, his summoning goes very wrong, and he ends up calling the Woodland Critters. Meanwhile, Satan is in his last trimester of pregnancy, carrying President Trump’s baby. Trump and VP J.D. Vance, who are secretly in a relationship, plot to kill the baby before it’s born so the world doesn’t end, while ensuring their political career is safe. 

This leads to all the characters ending up at the hospital for a bittersweet ending. The doctor reveals that the baby has hanged himself in the womb. Upon hearing the news, Trump breathes a sigh of relief and celebrates. When Satan finds out, he breaks up with Trump and heads to Hell alone. The episode then ends with a true Christmas miracle by Bro-Jesus.
