Viewers are curious why there’s no new episode of Euphoria Season 3 this weekend on HBO.
Created by Sam Levinson, the latest season follows the adult lives of the characters five years after high school. Rue gets involved in the illegal drug trade, while Cassie and Nate’s relationship struggles over finances. Jules becomes a sugar baby, while Lexiand Maddy carve their paths in Hollywood.
As the show was absent this weekend, many want to know if it’s over or if they can expect more installments.
Why Euphoria Season 3 didn’t air a new episode on Sunday
Euphoria Season 3 didn’t air a new episode on Sunday because the season has already concluded. The finale, titled “In God We Trust,” aired on May 31, 2026. The season originally premiered on April 12, 2026, and serves as the final chapter for the hit HBO series.
The final episode follows Rue as danger closes in from every corner and her betrayal catches up with her. Meanwhile, Maddy and Cassie must team up as the medical van speeds to the border. Alamo experiences a revelation that alters the course of his life forever.
Levinson confirmed the series won’t return for a fourth season. In a conversation with The New York Times, he said the last episode concludes the character arcs, despite neither the network nor the creator having referred to it as a series finale. “In terms of the story that we set out to tell, which is a story about addiction and its consequences, this feels like the end to me,” he elaborated.
Revealing what message the finale intended to convey, he added that it is a tragic story in the end, but it is also the truth, and that anyone experimenting or taking drugs today faces the very real possibility that it could kill them.
All three seasons of Euphoria are available to stream on HBO Max.
