On a recent podcast, he teased that he has other DC projects lined up, giving fans plenty to get excited about.

Creature Commandos (2026)
DC’s animated lineup has always delivered, and Creature Commandos is the latest addition. The show follows a team of supernatural misfits sent on high-risk secret missions.
The pilot season impressed both fans and critics, earning an instant greenlight for the next season. Since it was fast-tracked, it is expected to drop sometime next year.
Lanterns (2026)
Ever since the announcement, fans have been talking about this new Green Lanterns show. It focuses on Hal Jordan and John Stewart as they investigate a murder in Nebraska.
Rumor has it that Nathan Fillion might appear as Guy Gardner. Fans are excited, given how hilarious and impressive he was in the Superman movie.
Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow (2026)
Set to hit theaters on June 26, 2026, Supergirl stars Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El, Superman’s cousin, who is trying to find her place on Earth while taking on Krem of the Yellow Hills (Matthias Schoenaerts).
The movie will also see Jason Momoa play Lobo, a casting that James Gunn has officially confirmed.
Clayface (2026)
Clayface is one of Batman’s most iconic villains across comics, animated shows, and games, so giving him his own movie makes sense. Directed by Mike Flanagan, the film will be part of the DCU’s Chapter One: Gods and Monsters lineup. It will release on September 11, 2026.
Man of Tomorrow (2027)
The Superman sequel is set to hit theaters on July 9, 2027. David Corenswet returns as Clark Kent/Superman, and Nicholas Hoult reprises his role as Lex Luthor. James Gunn said that writing this follow-up was “way, way, way easier” than the first movie.
The Batman 2 (2027)
No doubt, this is one of the most anticipated DC movies. After Matt Reeves delivered what many consider the best Batman movie in 2022, fans are extremely hyped.
Production kicks off next year, with Robert Pattinson returning as Batman. This time, he will take on a new villain, possibly the Joker, Professor Pyg, Hugo Strange, or another.
Dynamic Duo (2028)
Titans might have flopped, but hopes are high for Dynamic Duo, tentatively set to release on June 30, 2028. Fans will get to see the bromance and chemistry between two of Batman’s favorite Robins, Dick Grayson and Jason Todd, once again.
