Young & Restless’ Amelia Heinle on if Victoria Will Find a New Lover After Cole’s Death

Wondering if Victoria Newman will find love again after Cole’s death on The Young and the Restless? As the character grieves, Victoria shifts her focus to Claire and her family. Recent comments from Amelia Heinle have sparked speculation about what’s next in her romantic life.

Here’s everything confirmed so far about Victoria’s emotional journey and what Heinle revealed about a potential new love interest.

Amelia Heinle hints Victoria will find a new love interest in The Young and the Restless

In the exclusive interview with Michael Fairman TV, Amelia Heinle confirmed, “She’s going to need some time to heal, and then in typical fashion, we’ll find her with someone else in town,” Heinle said. When asked if it could be Nate, she replied, “It might surprise the fans,” adding that the current focus is Victoria’s daughter, Claire.

Heinle emphasized Victoria’s attention is now on helping Claire cope. “Right now, it’s all about Claire and making sure she is getting through it, and being a good mom to the kids,” she said. Regarding Claire’s arc, Heinle expressed interest in seeing the character’s darker side return: “I was disappointed when they started making her so good… I want you to be bad. You were so good, bad!”

Reflecting on J. Eddie Peck’s exit as Cole, Heinle shared, “It was hard. It was difficult to film that stuff because it was sad. It was written well, and it made everybody very sad.” She noted Cole’s final moments had meaning, adding, “He had an opportunity to give a little speech at the end of his last scene and it was touching.”

On her 20th anniversary as Victoria, Heinle joked, “A true gift for my anniversary would be the fact that maybe Nick and Victoria really aren’t related.” She also mentioned that she does not make storyline requests but occasionally jokes about potential crossovers or scene partners.

Heinle, who lost her home earlier this year in the Palisades fire, reflected on the experience: “It’s been kind of liberating to sort of start over… The things that are important are the things that we have still.” She confirmed that she replaced her two Daytime Emmys.
