Season 2 of The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives quickly revealed cracks in Demi and Jessi’s relationship. While the season begins with the two still close, the show eventually hints at a “falling out” between them, which Jessi calls a “little disagreement about money.” But according to castmates and off-screen interviews, the situation seems to run deeper.
Jessi confirmed to Page Six that she’s “done for good” with Demi. She added, “I’ll never be friends with her again. And I’m a pretty forgiving person. So, it’s a lot for me to say that.”
As the season progresses, viewers learn that Demi allegedly tried to push Jessi off the show for financial gain. Several cast members, including Taylor Frankie Paul and Mayci Neeley, claimed Demi was advocating for bigger contracts even if it meant Jessi getting cut. Jessi, who owns a successful hair business, tried to rise above it, thinking, “I don’t want money to come between all of us.”
Taylor Frankie Paul went even further, accusing Demi of trash-talking Jessi behind her back. Demi defended herself in a confessional, arguing that Jessi’s financial success made her seem “selfish.” Still, Jessi insisted she never believed Demi wanted her “specifically [kicked] off” the show.

Toward the end of the season, Layla Taylor confronted Marciano Brunette, who admitted to hooking up with Jessi, a claim Jessi and her husband Jordan seemingly blamed Demi for spreading.
