Aquaman 2 End Credits Scene: Does The Lost Kingdom Have a Post-Credits Sequence?

Viewers planning to flock into the theaters for Aquaman 2 are wondering whether they should stay for its post-credits scenes. So, here’s all you need to know about Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom’s end credits scene.

Does Aquaman 2 have an end credits scene?

Yes, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is confirmed to have one end credits sequence.

Since Aquaman 2 is bringing the old DCEU to its conclusion, many fans presumed that the film may not have a post-credits scene. But it’s already confirmed that Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom features one scene stuffed between the credits.

Many DC movies including Blue Beetle and Shazam! Fury of the Gods have had two post-credits scenes in recent times. But since Aquaman 2 brings the franchise to an end, it doesn’t have many teases for the future.

What happens in the Aquaman 2 post-credits scene?

In the Aquaman 2 end credits scene, Orm is seen eating a cheeseburger and a cockroach.

Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom is known to have gone through multiple reshoots. At one point, it was supposed to feature Michael Keaton’s Batman meeting Aquaman in the post-credits scene. That would have set up a live-action Crisis on Infinite Earths event for the future.

But when the order of DCEU releases changed and Aquaman 2 was scheduled to arrive before The Flash 2 for a while, Ben Affleck was added to play Batman in the final scene of the film. However, that scene also got dropped since this film’s universe now features George Clooney as Batman.

So instead, Aquaman 2 now ends with a gag that pays off a joke from earlier in the film. On their journey to the lost Kingdom, Arthur told Orm about the good food that the surface world has to offer including extra greasy cheeseburgers. As a prank, he also made Orm eat a cockroach. So, in the mid-credits scene, we see the former Ocean Master enjoying a Cheeseburger at a restaurant. But when a cockroach appears on his table, he just picks it up and adds it to his burger to eat it right before the final credits roll.

This is officially the final scene of the DCEU! Now, whether Jason Momoa returns as Aquaman remains to be seen.
