Does The Death of Robin Hood Have a Post-Credits Scene at the End?

Viewers are curious to know whether The Death of Robin Hood includes a mid-, end-, or post-credits scene. Directed by Michael Sarnoski, the thriller follows Robin Hood as he reflects on a life of murder and crime. He remains badly injured after what he believes to be his final battle. However, he encounters a mysterious woman who offers him a chance at redemption. With the film scheduled to release on June 19, many are wondering whether they should stay seated for an additional scene.

Is there a post-credits scene at the end of The Death of Robin Hood?

There’s no post-credits scene at the end of The Death of Robin Hood. The audience can exit the theater once the credits begin to roll.

Filmmakers typically add a post-credit scene either to resolve existing plot queries or to tease a sequel. Some franchises, like Marvel, also use it to announce the return of specific characters in future installments. It serves as an effective way to build hype and anticipation around what comes next.

However, this movie appears to be self-contained, with no loose ends. There’s also no official announcement around a potential sequel. Mostly, another installment enters development only after gauging the box-office performance of its predecessor. In this case, the chances of a sequel are slim, as the movie appears to be a stand-alone.

In a conversation with IndieWire, Hugh Jackman reflected on the message this story intends to convey. He revealed that everyone needs to be careful about buying into stories. He mentioned that, from childhood, we are introduced to all sorts of stories through the media, religion, parents, and other influences. However, he said that before embracing them, one should ask oneself whether those stories truly feel right for them.

“Because those stories have been used to do a lot of violent damage in history. What if that story or legend of him was actually his own creation to make people do terrible things, to follow him? Oh, what if it was all a lie? What if maybe there was a couple of rich people he stole from, but what if he never gave it to the poor? What if he was just a brutal murderer? Now, even at the end of the movie, we’re not entirely sure,” he continued.
