Fantastic Four Cast: Is Vanessa Kirby the New Sue Storm Actor?

The Fantastic Four cast rumors keep pushing out potential names to join the MCU, and Vanessa Kirby has been among them for months. But is she confirmed to play Sue Storm in the MCU? Here’s all you need to know.

Is Vanessa Kirby playing the new Sue Storm in Fantastic Four?

Vanessa Kirby has been the widely tipped actor to play Sue Storm and also stated that she’d be honored to join the MCU. However, her casting hasn’t been officially announced.

Quite a few actors have been rumored to join the talks for the Sue Storm role in Fantastic Four till now. Vanessa Kirby, Jodie Comer, Mila Kunis, and Allison Williams were amongst the first names that the rumor mill produced before the SAG-AFTRA strike. Later, Margot Robbie and Emma Stone joined the chat. But they’ve both reportedly passed on the role and things seem to be circling back towards Kirby.

In the past, credible insider Jeff Sneider stated that she had already been confirmed for the part. Now, many fans believe that she has already been cast for the role based on her reaction to the rumor. Recently, during the world premiere of Napoleon in Paris, France, Variety asked her to comment on her potential casting in Fantastic Four, and replied:

“I don’t know, you’ll have to ask them. I would be very honored to join.”

This might mean that she hasn’t been officially signed yet. But it could also mean that she has already been cast and is waiting for Marvel to make the announcement along with other potential Fantastic Four cast members, such as Pedro Pascal. Marvel actors have been coy about joining the MCU time and time again. So, this would be nothing new from Kirby.

But it’s worth noting that until an official confirmation comes from Marvel or other famed trades, Kirby hasn’t joined the MCU, and we need to take her casting rumors with a grain of salt.
