When Will the Five Nights at Freddy’s Movie Leave Theaters & Cinemas?

The Five Nights at Freddy’s movie premiered last week at both the cinemas and on Peacock. Due to the simultaneous release, fans have often wondered when the movie would leave theaters. Here is all you need to know.

When will the Five Nights at Freddy’s movie stop being shown in movie theaters?

Five Nights at Freddy’s movie will likely stop being shown in movie theaters after five or six weeks.

Five Nights at Freddy’s will stay in theaters as long as the theaters make money out of the film; as such the film will likely stay in theaters for as long as five to six weeks before it leaves and becomes solely available on Peacock only. This is a very likely scenario as the film has become an instant smash horror hit at the box office grossing $113.6 million in the United States and $217.1 million globally.

However, due to the new shortened 45-day theatrical window between a film’s theatrical release and streaming release. The film will likely leave theaters by December 11, 2023. With that said, since the film is already streaming on Peacock and is also the most-watched film on that platform, there is a chance that Five Nights at Freddy’s will leave movie theaters a little earlier.

On the other hand, it is possible that the film may not stay in theaters past November 8 or 9. This is because critics have given it mostly mixed to negative reviews. This would likely negatively affect the word of mouth and the chance of people seeing it in theaters, as they would likely want to see the film from home instead, which is usually the cheaper and less riskier option.
