How old is Gwen Stacy in Across the Spider-Verse?
Gwen Stacy could be between 16 and 17 years old in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.
While Gwen’s age hasn’t specifically been revealed in the Spider-Verse movies, her age could be deduced by finding out how old Miles Morales is. In Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Gwen revealed that she is older than Miles by one year and three months. Going back to her universe, she said:
“…I’m older than you. Fifteen months. But it’s pretty significant if you ask me.”
Peter Ramsey, one of the directors of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, suggested that Miles was 13 years old in the first film. Then, Miles further revealed that Across the Spider-Verse takes place one year and four months after the first one. Hence, he could be around late 14 or touching 15 in Spider-Verse 2. Since Gwen is 15 months older, she’d be 16 years or above in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, if not 17.
How old is Gwen Stacy in Into the Spider-Verse?
Considering that Miles was 13 years old in Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, Gwen would be in late 14 or 15 years old in the film.
Compared to the comics, this gap is smaller. In the source material, Miles was just one month shy of turning 17 when Gwen Stacy of Earth-65 was 19 years old. So, Gwen is a little over two years older in the books. But a smaller age gap between them arguably works better for Sony’s Spider-Verse movies as the two are strongly shipped by fans.
