After its official announcement in early 2023, Zootopia 2’s release date has been hotly anticipated. The first film focused upon rookie bunny officer Judy Hopps and con artist fox Nick Wilde, who uncovered a sinister plot together. Now, their adventures as a part of the Zootopia Police Department will continue in the sequel. But when will it come out?

Is there a Zootopia 2 release date?
Zootopia 2’s release date could arrive anytime between November 2024 and 2026.
There is no confirmed release date for Zootopia 2 at the moment. The film was announced alongside Frozen 3 and Toy Story 5 in February 2023. But since then, there haven’t been any updates about its release date. However, it is predicted to arrive on either of the 3 following untitled release windows scheduled for Disney animation releases:
- November 27, 2024
- March 7, 2025.
- November 26, 2025
Earlier in 2023, Encanto star Stephanie Beatriz talked about the possibilities of a sequel and stated that the team behind her film is currently involved with Zootopia 2. While it isn’t known how far along its development process has come, it is still possible for the film to be released on November 27, 2024.
But that window could be hampered by the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike. So, it’s also likely for Zootopia 2 to follow its predecessor’s March release window, and arrive on March 7, 2025. But if the film is in its early development stages, then it could even take the November 26, 2025 window or arrive sometime in 2026. 2022’s Zootopia+ gave us another look into the world of this franchise and brought quite a few fan-favorite characters back. So, most of them are expected to return in Zootopia 2 alongside Ginnifer Goodwin’s Judy Hopps and Jason Bateman’s Nick Wilde, who will likely solve another mystery.
