CM Punk Return Is Expected Soon

Today, Warner Bros. Discovery will be hosting their Upfronts. AEW is expected to factor into today’s presentation with an expected announcement of their upcoming Saturday show, rumored to be named “AEW Collision.”

As part of this upcoming event, CM Punk is expected to return to the promotion for the first time since AEW All Out 2022 where he was not only injured but would get into a backstage altercation with The Elite.

Per Andrew Zarian of The Mat Men Podcast, Punk’s return is expected to be announced in the coming days.

According to a new report from Fightful Select (subscription required), the working plan is to tape AEW Rampage as per usual on Wednesday after AEW Dynamite. On the other hand, Ring of Honor will be taped in conjunction with Collision’s live shows.

Roman Reigns Advertised For WWE Money in the Bank

WWE’s UK branch announced today that Roman Reigns would be in attendance for WWE Money in the Bank and the Friday Night SmackDown occurring the night before in the O2 Arena in London, England.

Roman Reigns will also be challenging for the WWE Tag Team Championship at the upcoming WWE Night of Champions event in Saudi Arabia. Still, as he is on a limited schedule deal, he did not appear at WWE Backlash in Puerto Rico.

As part of this new branding for the upcoming shows in the UK, while Roman Reigns does appear, Drew McIntyre does not. McIntyre was recently drafted to Raw as part of the 2023 WWE Draft but has not appeared since WrestleMania 39.

Bron Breakker Not Expected For Main Roster Call-Up Soon

Bron Breakker was the face of NXT following the NXT 2.0 rebranding. After a year on top of the brand, Breakker dropped the WWE NXT Championship to Carmelo Hayes at WWE NXT Stand & Deliver and subsequently turned heel.

While many expected Breakker to be moved to either Monday Night Raw or Friday Night Smackdown following the WWE Draft, Breakker was one of the NXT mainstays that did not get drafted.

According to a new report from Ringside News, there haven’t been any discussions regarding Breakker advancing to the main WWE programs, and there have been specific discussions about giving him more time in NXT.

Breakker will next challenge Carmelo Hayes for the championship he lost at the upcoming WWE NXT Battleground event on Sunday, May 28.
