During the Capcom E3 2021 Showcase, a new trailer for Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin was revealed.
The trailer, which can be seen below, focuses on the Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin‘s story. We see the main protagonist Red as he meets with the Wyverian Ena and is given an egg. This particular egg is special as it hatches into the Razewing Ratha, the monster with the Wings of Ruin. The trailer also flaunts its turn-based combat, a deviation from the traditional action-based combat in most Monster Hunter games.
Here is a brief synopsis of the tale that will be told in Monster Hunter Stories 2: Wings of Ruin from the Nintendo store:
A new adventure awaits you in this second installment of the turn-based RPG series set in the world of Monster Hunter! Become a Rider and form bonds with friendly monsters known as Monsties to fight alongside them as you take part in an epic story.
You play as the grandson of Red, a legendary Rider. The story begins with a fateful encounter with Ena, a Wyverian girl who has been entrusted with an egg with the potential to hatch into a legendary Rathalos which could wreak havoc if awakened to its destructive power.
