Monogatari Series: Off & Monster Season Anime Trailer Reveals Release Date

In a previous announcement on Friday, May 3, 2024, the official website and X (formerly Twitter) account of the Monogatari Series Off & Monster Season anime disclosed a trailer video featuring the series’ theme song. A previous announcement revealed that the Japanese pop duo YOASABI performed the theme song, “UNDEAD,” which is featured in the new trailer. Besides, the anime television series will premiere on July 6, 2024, on Japan’s ABEMA service platform.

However, the story of the girls who were saved by Araragi was not over. It is a prequel, or perhaps a sequel to their struggles in youth.”

Among staff members, it has been revealed that Midori Yoshizawa is directing the anime at Studio Shaft while Akiyuki Simbo is serving as the chief director. Moreover, Miku Ooshima is composing the scripts, and Fuyashi Tou overseeing them along with Akiyuki Simbo.

Additionally, marking his return, Akio Watanabe is handling character designs. Akio Watanabe also serves as the chief animation director, and helping him with the same are Nobuhiro Sugiyama and Kana Miyai. At the same time, Satoru Kōsaki also marks his return to handle music composition.

The Monogatari Series Off & Monster Season anime is based on NISIOISIN and Vofan’s Monogatari light novel series. The author began the mystery light novel’s serialization in Kodansha’s Mephisto in September 2005. In 2015, Vertical published the English release of the light novel series.

Furthermore, Bang Zoom! Entertainment released an English audiobook version of Kizumonogatari in May 2016. Moreover, a Japanese audiobook was also released by Kodansha in August 2021.

The series received an anime television adaptation in September 2009 animated by Studio Shaft. The first season adapted three arcs, while the second season adapted six arcs from the series. Finally, the final season adapted five arcs.
