The official website and Twitter account of I Was Reincarnated as the 7th Prince so I Can Take My Time Perfecting My Magical Ability recently announced the release date of the anime adaptation. The highly anticipated anime is set to premiere on April 1, 2024. In addition, the announcement revealed additional cast members for the upcoming anime.
The anime is based on the light novel written by Kenkyo Na Circle and illustrated by Meru. Kodansha started publishing the famous light novel in July 2020. Later on, Yōsuke Kokuzawa and Meru launched a manga based on Kenkyo na Circle’s novels in late 2020.

Kenkyo na Circle and Meru’s new anime will be part of the Spring 2024 lineup. The anime will be released on TV Tokyo and BS NTV on April 1 at 12 a.m. JST and on AT-X on April 3. Reportedly, Kaede Higuchi will perform the opening song, “Kyunrious,” while Akane Kumada will perform the ending song, “Happy no Himitsu.”
The anime boasts an impressive lineup of cast. Among this, Rie Takahashi is set to star as Ren. Shun Horie and Yuya Hirose will star as Albert and Dian, respectively. Joining the lineup is Akane Kumada, who will star as Alieze. Previously announced cast members include Makoto Koichi, who will voice Lloyd. Fairouz Ai as Grim, Lynn will be Sylpha, and Akira Sekine and Rie Takahashi will voice Tao and Ren, respectively.
The main staff comprises of Jin Tamamura, who will direct the series, while Yuuichi Abe will serve as action director. Naoki Tozuka handles the script, series composition, and art management, while R.O.N. is composing the music.
As for the plot, Kodansha U.S.A. Publishing summarizes it in the following way: “Prince Lloyd wasn’t always a prince…in fact, his previous life is one he remembers perfectly: he was a sorcerer, of sorts. So when he was forced to reincarnate, he decided to continue his studies, Prince of the realm or not! But his new life has its own sets of challenges…including being a 10-year-old! What’s the 7th prince/sorcerer to do?!”
